Zuckerberg reveals AI projects
If Facebook’s name change to Meta didn’t make it clear that Mark Zuckerberg wants to invest heavily in the metaverse, his subsequent decisions and ideas may prove it. Now, the CEO has revealed Artificial Intelligence (AI) projects to enhance the virtual universe.
Among them, the possibility of creating virtual worlds through voice commands.
Elements added by Zuckerberg to the metaverse
Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg has revealed a raft of ambitious AI plans, describing the technology as “the key to unlocking the metaverse.”
According to BBC News, in an animated Shandong Mobile Number List demo he performed live , Meta’s CEO created a basic virtual world – complete with an island, a beach, trees, clouds, a picnic blanket and a table – using the Builder Bot. The new feature allows users to describe the world they want to build using voice commands, and then gradually add elements.
Builder Bot is part of Meta’s CAIRaoke project
which aims to improve AI assistants and enable them to “see the world from our experience” as users enter the metaverse .
Additionally, Zuckerberg announced a project to build a universal speech translator, since, according to him, “the ability to communicate Cambodia Phone Number List with anyone in any language is a superpower that has always been dreamed of.”
Finally, Zuckerberg promised that the AI systems that power Meta’s virtual worlds will preserve users’ privacy and be transparent and accountable.
Meta has been investing in AI in recent years, with Yann LeCun, one of the leading experts in the field, leading its department. In January, it announced that it had built a new AI supercomputer that it hopes will be the fastest in the world when completed by mid-year. In addition, it plans to hire 10,000 people in Europe to help build the metaverse.
